Sunday, August 24th
Maureen left for the national Mrs. America pageant. She
arrived safely in Tucson and got unpacked as well as a little rest
and relaxation. |
Monday, August 25th
Lots of contestants started arriving today. Maureen had
breakfast with Mrs. Arkansas, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. They
decided to head to the mall to kill a little time. Maureen got to
meet her lovely roommate, Mrs. Iowa! Orientation with all the
delegates took place. What a beautiful group of ladies and exciting
time for all of these delegates. |
Tuesday, Aug 26th
Rehearsals started today. Maureen got to meet Fric and Frac –
they are fantastic! Delegates got their opening number dresses -
Maureen’s is the purple color - and Special Occasion shoes. All of
the contestants got to have dinner with Mr. David Marmel, President
of Mrs. America and Mrs. World this evening.

Wednesday, August
27th
Today was rehearsals, rehearsals and more rehearsals!!!! Fun,
fun, fun and more prepare preparing for the opening number and 2nd
routine. The delegates received their swimsuits which are one
piece Carol Wior RED swimsuits – should be beautiful on the
stage!
Tonight is
formal dinner in which all contestants will be presenting their
gift to the President of Lowes Ventana Canyon Resort. Maureen
will be presenting a special bottle of Childress Wine from the
beautiful winery in Welcome NC – just outside of Winston Salem!

Thursday, August 28th
Rehearsal in the am, delegates received
pink cow boy hats and they toured the town of Tucson. |
Friday, August 29th
Bus Tour to the mall. Imagine 50 ladies
shopping at a mall - what fun! Dinner at an Italian Restaurant.
Rehearsed for prelims. Seminar for National Anthem project in which
all contestants got to meet Diana Tucker, Mrs. Arizona 2006 who won
Mrs. America then went on to win Mrs. World. Diana spoke about her
involvement with the National Anthem project. The ladies were told
Diana is one of their judges as well. Contestants did their gift
exchange! |
Saturday, August 30th
Rehearsals with contestants preparing for prelims and finals!
Maureen meet with her directors around 11:30 am. They had dinner and
more rehearsing until 7 pm. |
Sunday, August 31st
Rehearsals from 9 am until 1pm. had lunch and a little R and R!
Getting ready for prelims starting at 7 pm. |
Monday, September
1st
Rehearsals, lunch, rehearsals, dinner and more rehearsals.
Tomorrow is finals with announcement of Top 12, Photogenic Winner,
Fitness Winner and the new spirit award winner! |
